Real estate and leasing counsel with a managing partner’s view of the whole business — problems avoided before they surface.
Murray is a member of the Real Estate and Commercial Leasing groups and the former managing partner of Goldman Sloan Nash & Haber LLP. By understanding a client’s business operations and objectives, he takes a proactive approach — so problems are avoided before they surface.
His experience spans essentially all facets of real property law. He guides residential builder clients through development projects from land acquisition to registration of the subdivision corporation to final closings; landlords and tenants of institutional, office, shopping centre and industrial properties rely on his judgement for lease structuring and documentation, ground leases, joint ventures and financing advice.
He managed the firm’s relationship with LAWorld — the international network of independent mid-sized commercial firms — serving as Regional Chair for North America & Latin America, and sits on the Executive Committee of the OBA Managing Partners Roundtable.
The Michael Kamin Hart Memorial Scholarship at McMaster University’s Institute for Infectious Disease Research is the family’s — and the firm’s — enduring commitment.
